Melvin K. Mace December 02, 1942 - April 23, 2010 Melvin K. Mace, 67, of Elizabethtown, died at 6:15 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Care Facility. Mr. Mace was born Dec. 2, 1942 in Columbus, the son of James Harold and Nellie H. (Hickey) Mace. On Oct. 27, 1963, he married Brenda (Lucas) Mace and she survives. He retired from being self-employed in the construction industry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and National Guard. Mr. Mace enjoyed western movies and his grandchildren. He was dearly loved by his friends and family, and will be greatly missed. In addition to his wife, Mr. Mace is survived by a son, Kenneth S. (Dee Dee) Mace of Elizabethtown; a daughter, Rosa Gay Lewis of Edinburgh; grandchildren, Candice (James) Jones, Aaron Christian, Kolby Coffman, Abbigail Taylor and Kendra Mace; great-grandchildren, Jalen Jones, Macy Jones and Hannah Jones; and brothers, Donald, Jerry, Bob, Jimmy and Pat Mace. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Johnny Everett Mace; and sisters, Hazel Bowles and Doneda Mace. Funeral Information There will be no services.
