Charles D. Compton Jr. October 28, 1966 - April 01, 2010 Charles David Compton, Jr., 43, of Columbus, died at 10:43 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Columbus Regional Hospital. He was born Oct. 28, 1966, in Columbus, the son of Charles David, Sr. and Carolyn Faye (Grissom) Compton. Charles was previously employed at Enkei for 17 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a loving father and loved spending time with his children. He was affiliated with Columbus General Baptist church. Charles is survived by his mother; a son, David Allen Compton of Columbus; a daughter, Login Faye Compton of Columbus; a brother, Mike (Jan) Compton of Columbus; sisters, Tammy (Bill) Wise and Missy (Dwight) Jordan, both of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his father and son, Keith Michael Compton. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the Jewell-Rittman Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Fields officiating. VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. BURIAL: Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
