James Tony Abbott January 20, 1959 - March 23, 2010 James Anthony Tony Abbott, 51, of 14th Street died at 1 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at his home. Mr. Abbott graduated from Columbus High School and earned a degree in computer technology in 2000 from IUPUC. Arrangements were made by Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Born in Decatur County Jan. 20, 1959, Mr. Abbott was the son of James I. and Nora Maxine Haase Abbott. Mr. Abbott is survived by his father, of Zephyrhills, Fla.; sons, Jonathan Anthony Abbott and Joshua Randall Abbott, both of Columbus; his stepmother, Shirley A. Abbott of Zephyrhills, Fla.; a grandchild, Nora Hayden Odell Abbott; and a sister, Jennifer K. Gossett of Temperance, Mich. Mr. Abbott was preceded in death by his mother and brothers, Bruce Randall Harris and Gary Lee Abner. Funeral Information A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Garland Brook Cemetery.
