Sharon L. Whited September 21, 1950 - March 18, 2010 Sharon L. Scoggan Whited, 59, of West Southline Drive, died at 6:05 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Mrs. Whited was a member of Lowell General Baptist Church and worked at Target for many years. She loved animals, especially cats, and loved her family and friends. Throughout her life, she relied on God and put the needs of others before her own. She was a very kind and unselfish person. Born in Bedford Sept. 21, 1950, Mrs. Whited was the daughter of Claude and Doris M. Todd Scoggan of Columbus. Other survivors include a son, Jason (Nikki) Wilson of Columbus; a daughter, Melissa (David) Jessie of Columbus; grandchildren, Gabby, Brianna, Kaylee, Justin, Brooklyn, Makayla and Jaidyn; brothers, Douglas (Denise) Scoggan of Columbus and Harold (Jo) Scoggan of Columbus; and a sister, Diana G. (Jerry) Lee of Columbus. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 1 p.m. Monday at Lowell General Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Poynter officiating. CALLING: 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. BURIAL: Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
