Jeffrey was born in Sisterville, WV. November 8, 1972, the son of Larry Owen and Cathy Miller Mathess. He was a sports fanatic. He had a passion for cooking and enjoyed NASCAR and The Simpsons. Jeffery is survived by his father, Larry Owen Mathess of St. Marys, W. Va.; a son, Zach Hillenburg of Columbus; a brother, Robert Lee Mathess of North Vernon; an aunt, Brenda Decker of North Vernon; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother.
