Harold E. Lane May 03, 1932 - January 28, 2010 Former resident Harold E. Lane 77, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2010, at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida, after a prolonged bout with cancer. Mr. Lane was born May 3, 1932, in Columbus to Glen Lane and Adrene DeBusk Lane. He graduated from Hope High School and served 4 years in the Air Force. Later he received a bachelors degree from Butler U. and a masters degree from Indiana U. For 34 years he was an educator in both Indiana and Florida as an elementary principal. In 1956 he married Marilyn Dalmbert of Hope. They moved in 1969 to Clearwater, FL where he was an avid golfer and tennis player. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and playing bridge. Also he was a Bible scholar. Throughout his married life, Mr. Lane remodeled and built homes. He is survived by his wife Marilyn of Clearwater, his daughter Melanie Gorski and son-in-law Chester of Roseville, CA, two sisters Phyllis Washuda of Clearwater, FL and Dora Jean Bingham of Columbus, and five grandchildren Chester III, Hannah, Sarah, Joseph, and Samuel. Funeral Information VISITATION: Sunday 1pm to 5pm at Jewell-Rittman Funeral Home in Columbus FUNERAL: Monday at 10 am BURIAL: Hope Moravian cemetery.
