Robert H. Clark January 23, 1931 - September 30, 2009 Robert Henry Clark was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on January 23, 1931, the son of Ivan J. and Flossie Gossman-Head Clark. He married Marilyn J. Hoppes-Halford on March 3, 1973. He is survived by a son, Jeffery L. (Debra) Clark of Ham Lake, Minnesota; step-daughters, Dana J. (Dave) McKean of Shelbyville, Elaine L. (Gary) Herbert of Columbus, Indiana, and Lisa J. Parker of North Vernon, Indiana; a half sister, Betty L. Whittemore of California; and also a half brother, Karl Head of Franklin, Indiana. Robert was reared in the Scipio, Indiana, area. He attended school through the first semester of his sophomore year at Scipio School then transferred to North Vernon High School where he graduated. Robert was employed by Quality Mill Supply Company upon graduation. In the years following he was a member of the United States Air Force for four years and also worked for various other firms, finally retiring from Quality Mill Supply Company in 1995. In his early years Robert was a member of Boy Scouts of America. He had been a member of the American Society of Tool and Manufacturing Engineers and was a member of East Columbus Christian Church. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and two half sisters. Funeral Information MEMORIAL SERVICE: Will be held Saturday, October 3, 2009, at 1 p.m. at North Vernon First Christian Church by the Revs. Ron Bridgewater and Gilbert Schreiber. BURIAL: Private burial services for the family will be held at Vernon Cemetery in Vernon, Indiana.
