Theodore Raymond Staublin February 06, 1926 - September 20, 2009 Theodore Raymond Staublin, 83, of Road 100S, Columbus, Ind., died at 2:20 a.m. Sunday, September 20, 2009, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Theodore served in the United States Marine Corps from 1944 to 1946. He was a retired machinist for Cummins Engine Company after 40 years of service. He was also a farmer. Mr. Staublin was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Mr. Staublin was born February 6, 1926 in Jennings County, Ind., the son of Martin Henry and Adeline Bertha Ebbing Staublin. He married Margaret Jane Schafer on June 26, 1948. Survivors include his wife; a son, Dennis Martin of Scipio, Ind.; a daughter, Patsy Jane Vogel of Columbus, Ind.; grandchildren, Brian Staublin and Clarissa C.J. Vogel; brothers, William Staublin of Columbus, Ind., Robert Staublin of Walton, Ind. and Paul Staublin of Madison, Ind.; and a sister, Dorothy Sauley of Madison, Ind. Mr. Staublin was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald Staublin and George Staublin; and sisters, Leona Kostreva, Mary Alice Hadley, Anna Margaret Kane and Clara Staublin. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church with Father Daniel Staublin officiating. VISITATION: 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and also from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
