Ned J. Bradley September 07, 1933 - June 10, 2009 Ned J. Bradley, 75, of Waycross Drive died at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Mr. Bradley was a partner, president and chief executive officer of Home News Enterprises from 1961 until his retirement in 1998. A U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, he was a founding member and deacon of Fairlawn Presbyterian Church. Born in Brookport, Ill., Sept. 7, 1933, Mr. Bradley was the son of Herman Paul and Alma Jean Wright Bradley. He married Sue Lawhorn Sept. 6, 1958. She preceded him in death Aug. 16, 2003. Surviving are daughters, Kim Hicks and her husband Clint of Columbus and Alice B. Nixon and her husband Bill of Tustin, Calif.; grandchildren, Amy Gilliam, Brad Moffatt, Suzanne Mayfield, Adam Stephenson, Alexa Hicks and Dayna Nixon; great-grandchildren, Kayla and Ty Gilliam, Zarek and Kathryn Moffatt, Carson Mayfield and Savanah Stephenson; sisters, Paula VanMeter of Underwood and Carol Allen of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a son-in-law, Lawrence E. Moffatt of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Tresa J. Moffatt; and a brother, Glen Bradley. Funeral Information VISITATION: Sunday, June 14, 2009 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home and also from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Monday at Fairlawn Presbyterian Church. FUNERAL: 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2009 at Fairlawn Presbyterian Church with Rev. Steve Geckeler officiating. BURIAL: Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery with military gravesde rites conducted by the Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard.
