Kathryne L. Clark August 02, 1927 - February 06, 2009 Kathryne L. Clark, 81, of Lafayette Avenue passed away peacefully in her sleep 12:35 a.m. February 6, 2009 at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Born August 2, 1927, Catherine Lucille McNabb to Clarence and Ruby McNabb, she was raised Kathryne Beedie by her aunt and uncle, Alexander and Hazel Beedie of Oolitic. She married Gerald E. Clark December 12, 1944 by T.K. Smith at First Christian Church in Columbus. He survives. A 1945 graduate of Columbus High School, Mrs. Clark worked along side her husband in their family business, Clark Plumbing and Heating and later Clark Supply. She retired in 1984. Mrs. Clark was an avid nature lover, particularly bird watching, she also had a passion for fishing. She enjoyed travel, auto racing, and needle crafts and was an accomplished oil artist. Mrs. Clark was a former member of the Women of the Moose, where she held many offices and achieved her star as Senior Regent. A member of the Christian faith, she had attended and taught Sunday school class at New Hope Christian Church. Among the legacy of love she leaves behind her husband; and children, William Bill (Linda) Clark, Joseph Joe (Beverly) Clark, Toni Jane (Larry) Smith and Richard (Karen) Clark; grandchildren, Jeremy Clark, Jennifer (Eric) VanEst, Kolby (Trevor) Baty, Kari Clark, Clark (Jodi) Hacker, Caleb (Kelli) Hacker, Caitlin Smith, Jacob Clark and Kristen Clark; great-grandchildren, Elum and Marley Kathryne VanEst, Dylan, Lexi and Maddie Baty, Trace and Sadi Hacker and Donovan Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Jane Lucas; and a son, John Robert Clark. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Monday, February 9, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home on 25th Street with Ronald Lucas officiating. VISITATION: Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery.
