Mr. Carl served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European and Japanese Theaters. He was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Jonesville, IN, Telephone Pioneers of America and a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of AAL. He retired from Indiana Bell after 28 years. Mr. Carl is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Welmer Carl; a son Greg Carl of Seymour and his wife, Karen; a daughter, Sherry Bailey of Richmond and her husband, Robert; grandchildren, Shannon (Mark) Meyer, Julie(Dan) Schnur, Mandy (Shane) Kleffman, Susan (Brian) White, Doug (Amy) Heavilin and Tony (Karin) Bailey; great-grandchildren, Mallory and Bailey Meyer, Cami and Dagan Kleffman, Brandon Schnur and Elizabeth, Rachel and Jason White; sisters, Pauline Robbins of Clearwater, FL and Betty Stitsworth of Columbus, IN He was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Gonverd Bergstrom Carl; and brothers, Howard Carl and Warren Carl. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Jonesville with Pastor Edgar Keinath officiating. VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home and also from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. BURIAL: Jonesville Lutheran Cemetery.
