Mr. Thompson is survived by sons, David Thompson Jr. and Derek Thompson both of Columbus, IN; brothers, Ronnie and Johnny Ray Thompson both of Columbus, Tommy Thompson of Taylorsville and Loyd Thompson Jr. of Edinburgh; sisters, Beverly Thompson of Indianapolis, Shirley Arterburn and Kathy Ogle both of Columbus and Becky Thompson of Taylorsville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd Thomas and Josie Polk Thompson; and brothers, Harold and Gerald Thompson.
