Janet C. Lucas June 24, 1927 - January 03, 2009 Janet C. Lucas, 81, of Dogwood Court died at 10:50 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Mrs. Lucas was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Born in Madison June 24, 1927, Mrs. Lucas was the daughter of Leonard S. and Martha J. Mean Stewart. She married Bill Lucas Feb. 4, 1956. He preceded her in death July 24, 2007. Survivors include daughters, Becky (Drew) Browne of Columbus and Sherry L. Moir of Houston, Texas; a brother, Del Stewart of Madison; a sister, Avalon Lichlyter of Madison; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
