Lee Crase Sr. September 24, 1934 - August 19, 2008 Lee Crase Sr., 73, of Fairview Drive died at 2:35 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Mr. Crase retired from Golden Foundry. He attended Seventh Street Church of God and Shiloh Baptist Church and enjoyed sports, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a veteran of the Air Force, achieving the rank of staff sergeant. Born in Letcher, Ky., Sept. 24, 1934, Mr. Crase was the son of George Crase Sr. and Nora Caudell Crase. He married Martha Begley Jan. 6, 1955. Survivors include his wife; sons, Michael (Cindy) Crase of Columbus and Lee (Debbie) Crase of Greenwood; a daughter, Genora (Stephen) Pumphrey of Hope; grandchildren, Ryan, Collin, Matthew, Megan, Melissa and Ashley; brothers, Thomas Crase of Tucker, Ga., George Crase Jr. of Columbus, Arthur Crase of Hamilton, Ohio, and Herman Crase of Letcher, Ky.; sisters, Lutichia Anderson of Hamilton, Ohio, and Francis Everidge of Letcher, Ky. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Glenn and Russell Crase; and sisters, Dania McDaniels and Doris Crase. Funeral Information VISITATION: Thursday, August 21, 2008 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Jewell -Rittman Family Funeral Home and also Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. FUNERAL: Friday, August 22, 2008 11:00 a.m. at the Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home with Revs. Stephen Pumphrey, James Seddon and Ron Bridgewater officiating. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery with military graveside rites performed by the Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard.
