Jack Philpot April 20, 1945 - July 15, 2008 Jack Philpot, 63, of Seymour died at 6:20 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at his home. Mr. Philpot was a former hammer operator at North Vernon Forge. He and his wife loved fishing and the outdoors. Born in Hazard, Ky., April 20, 1945, Mr. Philpot was the son of Jessie and Mollie Benj Philpot. He married Eliza Martin. She preceded him in death Dec. 31, 2003. Survivors include his companion, Delores Sams of Seymour; sons, Kenneth, Wallace, Clyde and Clarence Philpot, all of North Vernon; daughters, Jacqueline King of North Vernon, Rosanne Philpot of Seymour and Susie Philpot of Felicity, Ohio; brothers, Frank and William Philpot, both of North Vernon, and Jessie James Philpot of Knox; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a good friend, Furman Dink Bagwell of Seymour. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Carlene Freemuth; brothers, Clyde, Gary and Robert Philpot; and sisters, Vandelere Daugherty and Pearl Philpot. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 4 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2008 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor John Willis officiating. VISITATION: 1 p.m. until service time Friday, July 18, 2008.
