James D. Mik August 31, 1946 - June 09, 2008 James D. Mik, 61, of North Rogers Street died at 6:53 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2008, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Mr. Mik was of the Catholic faith and was a chef in the U.S. Army, trained at Fort Knox. He loved working in international commodities, baking and cooking and enjoyed reading, Big Band music and scenic driving. Born in Klatovy, Czechoslavkia, Aug. 31, 1946, Mr. Mik was the son of Vaclav Mik and Maria Mikova. He is survived by his longtime companion, Brenda Bunch; a brother, Jerry (Sue) Mik of Aurora, Ill.; a sister, Marie (Joseph) Stachnik of Davis, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Carol Kilian of Marcel, Minn.; one niece; and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joe Kilian. Funeral Information MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
