Sharon Sue Hughes October 20, 1938 - April 20, 2008 Sharon Sue Hughes, 69, of Navajo Court, Columbus, Ind., died Sunday, April 20, 2008, at 12:10 a.m. at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Care Facility. Sharon and her husband Don were high school sweethearts and in November of 2007, they celebrated 50 years together. She and her husband were former owners of Sparkle Car Wash. Sharon was involved in the wellness program for over 25 years. Sharon enjoyed spending precious time with her children and grandchildren and was a big Colts fan. She and her husband enjoyed the fellowship provided by the people they worshipped with. Mrs. Hughes was born October 20, 1938, in Kokomo, Ind., the daughter of Ivan and Janet Lowery Simpson. She married Donald E. Hughes Nov. 10, 1957. Survivors include her husband; sons, Mark (Wendy) Hughes of Columbus, Ind. and Neil Hughes of Columbus, Ind.; a daughter, Kelli (Tim Gilpin) Hill of Columbus, Ind.; grandchildren, Shelby Hughes, Cameron Hughes, Autumn Hughes, Evan Hughes, Ethan Hill, Seth Hill and Nicholas Crenshaw; a brother, Steve (Lori) Simpson of Greentown, Ind.; and sisters, Michele (Bill) Mennicar of Kokomo, Ind. and Candy (Bob) Hall of West Palm, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at 12:00 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene in Columbus, with Rev. Bryan E. Solomon, Rev. Rex Grant and Rev. Jay McKinley officiating. VISITATION: 11 a.m. until service time at the church. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery and following graveside services the family will receive friends at their home at 5210 Navajo Ct. in Columbus.
