Jon Karl Tormoehlen February 17, 1983 - April 08, 2008 Jon Karl Tormoehlen, 25, of Streamside Drive died at 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at his home. Mr. Tormoehlen was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, was baptized April 10, 1983, and confirmed June 7, 1998. He graduated from Columbus North High School in 2002, was a member of the Indiana National Guard HCC 113th SPT BN from 2000 to 2007 and served active duty in Afghanistan from July 2004 to July 2005. He was a member of the Jump Hound Gang rope jumping team while a student at Smith Elementary School, worked as a lifeguard at Donner Pool while a student at North High School and was a member of National Ski Patrol from 1999 to 2003 serving on the Ski World Ski Patrol in Nashville and Perfect North Ski Patrol in Lawrenceburg. Born in Columbus Feb. 17, 1983, Mr. Tormoehlen was the son of John T. and Karyl L. Clancy Tormoehlen. He married Staci Battin July 28, 2005. Survivors include his wife; his mother, of Columbus; a daughter, Haylee Battin; a sister, Denise Beeler of Seymour; a brother, Michael W. Tormoehlen of Eaton; a grandfather, Richard Clancy; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2008 at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor John W. Armstrong officiating. VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery and military graveside rites will be conducted by Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard.
