Mrs. Philyaw is survived by a son, John "J.P." (Nancy) Philyaw of Scottsburg; a daughter, Gail (Paul) Jaggers of Columbus; a sister, Fannie Downing of Scottsburg; 12 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Leroy Philyaw; sons, Alan Russell Philyaw and Barry Leroy Philyaw; and a daughter, Debbie Pearl Philyaw.
