Rev. Robert E. Davisson July 12, 1916 - April 02, 2008 The Rev. Robert E. Davisson, 91, of Nashville went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Columbus Regional Hospital. A retired Nazarene minister, the Rev. Davisson loved the Lord, Gods Word and His Church. He cherished his family, left an impression on peoples lives through his personal witness and helped others clarify their priorities. He was a very loving, caring and compassionate man who enjoyed gardening, socializing and fishing. Born in Gnawbone July 12, 1916, the Rev. Davisson was the son of Brent and Elsie Mae Palmer Davisson. He was preceded in death by two wives, Esther Rebecca Durham Davisson and Zola Davisson. Survivors include a son, Robert Davisson Jr. of Tucker, Ga.; daughters, Becky J. (John) Brooks of Tucker, Ga., and Louise Hogen of Florida; a brother, Louis (Donna) Davisson of Seymour; sisters, Jessie Pauline Riddle of Nashville, Betty B. (Bob) Leonard of Florida, Lucille Boyer of Largo, Fla., and Dorothy Boyer of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Judith Gilliam; two grandchildren; and a sister, Albert Bird. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Bryan Solomon officiating. VISITATION: Will be from 2 p.m. until service time Sunday. BURIAL: Will be at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery in Fort Worth, Texas.
