Mrs. Thompson was a member of First Christian Church. She worked as a realtor for many years and loved spending time at her second home in Florida. Born in Jefferson County July 9, 1914, Mrs. Thompson was the daughter of Joseph C. and Bessie Jines Brown. She was first married to Leonard Cardinal and later to Everett Thompson. Survivors include sons, Donald Louis (Betty) Cardinal of Columbus and Keith (Beulah) Thompson of Columbus; a daughter-in-law, Delores Cardinal of Columbus; grandchildren, Charles (Jean) Cardinal, Gloria (Jeff) Voelz, Daniel (Teresa) Cardinal, Rebecca Keane, Brian Thompson, Lynn (Lisa) Thompson, Alan (Jayne) Thompson, Randy (Jenny) Thompson, Wanda (Dan) Lunsford, Brenda (Jerry) Prall and Linda (Eric) Scheidt; a sister, Norma Truex of Columbus; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dwight Cardinal; a grandson, Richard Cardinal; one brother; and five sisters. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. James Pursley officiating.
