Judith Ann Waltman McClure December 20, 1937 - February 16, 2008 Judith Ann Waltman McClure, 70, of Columbus, Ind., died unexpectedly Saturday, February 16, 2008, at Columbus Regional Hospital Emergency Room. Judy was born December 20, 1937, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of John Henry and Beatrice Ruth Cecil Waltman. She married Philip D. McClure Sept. 6, 1958. Survivors include her husband; children, Philip D. (Sally) McClure, Jr. of San Diego, Calif., Amy (Steven) McClure Sarros of Grand Rapids, Mich., Jennifer (Ben) McClure Baltes of Sun Prairie, Wis., John Russell (Linda) McClure of Southport, Ind., Carrie Lynn (James) McClure Castelvetere of Farmington Hills, Mich. and Mary (Correy) McClure Ustanik of Painted Post, N.Y.; grandchildren, Patrick McClure, Ellen McClure, Caroline (Justin) Sarros Colley, RuthMarie Sarros, Alexander Sarros, Emily Sarros, William Sarros, Lily Baltes, Katie McClure, David Castelvetere, Maria Castelvetere, Madeline Ustanik, Ian Ustanik and Jack Ustanik; and a brother, Gerald S. (Bronla) Waltman of Redding, Calif. Judith was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, John H. Pete Waltman, Jr. Judith graduated from St. Vincents School of Nursing in 1958 as a Registered Nurse. She received a Bachelors degree in Health Arts from St. Francis College in 1993. Judith worked as an RN in the Columbus area for over 40 years where she was one of the charter nurses for Hospice of South Central Indiana at its inception in 1980. She retired from Hospice of South Central Indiana in 1999, but continued working part time from 1999 until her death. Judy was a volunteer at Muscatatuck Wildlife Refuge and was a member of the board of the Muscatatuck Wildlife Society. She was a quilter and gardener and enjoyed back country backpacking, fishing in Canada and canoeing in the Everglades. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. Funeral Information FUNERAL: A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2008, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, with Father Clem Davis presiding. VISITATION: Tuesday, February 19, 2008, from 3:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday. A Rosary service will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. BURIAL: A private family interment will be at a later date. Judith Ann Waltman McClure, 70, of Columbus, Ind., died unexpectedly Saturday, February 16, 2008, at Columbus Regional Hospital Emergency Room.
Judy was born December 20, 1937, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of John Henry and Beatrice Ruth Cecil Waltman. She married Philip D. McClure Sept. 6, 1958.
