Chrystal A. Wilkinson May 12, 1901 - January 25, 2008 Chrystal A. Wilkinson, 106, of Columbus, Ind. died at 8:30 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2008 at Silver Oaks Health Campus. Mrs. Wilkinson was a Song Evangelist throughout her life and a Kentucky Colonel. A member of First Church of the Nazarene, she was an avid Bible reader and prayer warrior. She was also a wonderful homemaker and cook. Mrs. Wilkinson was born May 12, 1901, in New Castle, Ind., the daughter of Samuel I. and Leona M. Kendall Carr. She married Lloyd M. Wilkinson December 22, 1923. Survivors include a son, Melvin Leon Wilkinson of Madisonville, Ky.; and a grandson, Daniel M. Wilkinson of Madisonville, Ky. Mrs. Wilkinson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd M. Wilkinson; a son, Ernest William Wilkinson; a daughter, Leona Margaret Wilkinson; brothers, Lester Aaron Carr and Ernest Henry Carr; and a sister, Opal Elmira Thomas. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Will be conducted Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene in Columbus, with the Rev. Bryan Solomon officiating. VISITATION: Will be Monday, Jan. 28, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
