Carol May Bazley March 27, 1943 - October 24, 2007 Carol May Bazley, 64, of Columbus died at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Bazley enjoyed antiquing, gardening, cooking and most of all being with her family. Born in Indianapolis March 27, 1943, Mrs. Bazley was the daughter of Lawrence and Pauline Crawford Sawyer. She married Daniel E. Bazley May 22, 1970. Survivors include her husband; sons, Phillip (Kathy) Shipley and Richard (Jennifer) Bazley, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; a daughter, Sherri (Brad) Smith of California; brothers, Larry (Dona) Sawyer of Seymour, Ronnie Sawyer of Ellettssville, Steve (Shirley) Sawyer of Bargersville and Danny (Jayne) Sawyer of Virginia; sisters, Marilyn (Dave) Townsend of California and Sharon Sue Thomas of Morgantown ; grandchildren, Ali, Nicholas and Joshua Shipley, Amber Williamson and Amanda and Amilee Smith; and a great-granddaughter, Skylar Preston. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jerry Sawyer; and a sister, Linda Sawyer.
