Russell L Nentrup May 07, 1926 - April 10, 2007 Russell L. Nentrup, 80, of North Vernon, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother will be sadly missed. When in his presence all had a feeling of happiness as he spun tales that could not possibly be true but, they were. Russell was owner of The Shoppe in North Vernon. He was a veteran of World War II. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid clock and antique collector. Born in Bartholomew County, May 7, 1926 he was the son of Martin and Harriet Burns Nentrup. He married Jackie Sweeney April 6, 1953. He and his wife recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary. Survivors include his wife, Jackie Sweeney Nentrup of North Vernon; sons, Trent (Jan) Nentrup of Hope, Jadden (Vicki) Nentrup of Columbus, Guy (Vickie) Nentrup of North Vernon; and daughter, Jill (Don) Perry of North Vernon; a sister, Betty Baugher of Columbus; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley and Clyde Marsh of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Craig (April) Nentrup of Columbus, Eric (Kim) Nentrup of Aurora, CO, Brian (Stephanie) Nentrup of Martinsville, Jennifer Nentrup of Carmel, Christopher Nentrup of North Vernon, Corey Nentrup of Columbus, Courtney Nentrup of North Vernon, Keith (Sabrina) Perry of Seymour and Kevin Perry of North Vernon; great-grandchildren, Caden and Colin Nentrup of Columbus and Annabelle Bleu Nentrup of Martinsville, Marcus Perry of North Vernon and Sierra Perry of Seymour. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, John and Clarence Nentrup. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2007 at the Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home with Eric Nentrup officiating. VISITATION: noon until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery with a military graveside service performed by the Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard.
