Lorene Spencer September 18, 1924 - April 03, 2007 Lorene Spencer, 82, of Yellowwood Drive died at 4:55 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Mrs. Spencer retired from Bartholomew County Sheriffs Department where she was a cook. She enjoyed cooking and visiting with her friends, was an avid camper and a member of Hoosier Schooners. Born in Hartsville Sept. 18, 1924, Mrs. Spencer was the daughter of Nolan and Blanche Sneed. She married R. Earl Spencer May 4, 1944. Survivors include a son, Dallas L. (Joyce) Spencer of Columbus; a daughter, Joan M. Bragg of Brownstown; grandchildren, Jeff and Lori Spencer, Rhea Sweeney, Sonya Gray and Stacey McCarty; a brother, Jean Sneed of Hartsville; sisters, Dottie Ridner of Hartsville and Ruth Ann Tindle of Florida; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1989; her parents; and a brother, Jack Sneed. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 1 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2007 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
