Elizabeth King March 16, 1909 - March 03, 2007 Elizabeth Barr King, 97, of Columbus, Ind., died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Hospice of South Central Indiana. Elizabeth was a homemaker and an avid Bobby Knight and Chicago Cubs fan. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles. Mrs. King was born March 16, 1909, in Elizabethtown, Ind., the daughter of Newt and Radie Jane Davis Barr. She married Delbert P. King on July 26, 1927, at Falls Fork near Newbern. Survivors include a son, Phil I. (Patty) King of Columbus, Ind.; a daughter, Peggy J. (Harold) Epperson of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Brenda (Gary) McCord, Mike (Cindy) Clark, Debbie Voelker, Cathy Clark, Mike (Sherry) Epperson, Becky (Mark) Stewart, Joe (Sarah) King, Joseph King Jr., Robert King, Kyle King, Rex (Lisa) King and Nathan Moore; 20 great-grandchildren; and seven great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Delbert P. King; sons, Delbert King Jr. and Joseph A. King; brothers, Herod, Harry and Ovie Barr; sisters, Mae Artist and Dolly King; a grandson, Mark Epperson; and a great-granddaughter, Kelli Jo King. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, with Dr. William H. Griffith officiating. VISITATION: Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time.
