Marguerite "Maggie" Shireman October 26, 1922 - January 31, 2007 Marguerite Maggie Shireman, 84, of Sims Court died at 4:25 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Mrs. Shireman was born in Columbus and later lived in Lanesville before returning to Columbus. She was a former employee of Sears and Andersons Dress Shop and retired from Cummins Engine Co. She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church and the Moose Lodge and American Legion auxiliaries. She enjoyed gardening and loved her family and grandchildren. Born Oct. 26, 1922, Mrs. Shireman was the daughter of Henry and Izella Bradshaw Arnholt. She married Wayne S. Shireman May 18, 1941. Survivors include a son, Charles W. (Terri) Shireman of Columbus; a daughter, Margery Mert (Joe) Murray of Columbus; grandchildren, Nanette Dehnke of Chicago, Trent Nyffeler of Arlington, Texas, Melissa Nyffeler of Seattle, Wash., Patrick (Dana) Nyffeler and Sherry Suns, both of Columbus, Rick Suns of Butlerville and Wendy (Mark) Gilbert of Port Orange, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Morgan Bibbie, Brittany and Taylor Sheritt, Rebecca and Jonah Austin, Lucy Nyffeler and Jarrett Dehnke; a sister, Bernice Herr of Columbus; a lifelong friend, Maxine Bloomenstock; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1979; brothers, Kenneth Arnholt and an infant brother; and sisters, Armilda Reinking and Mildred Bailey. Funeral Information VISITATION: Friday; February 2, 2007 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the funeral service Saturday; February 3, 2007. FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday; February 3, 2007, 10 a.m at the Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Malinsky officiating. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus, Indiana.
