Francis O. "Coxy" Cox June 28, 1915 - January 15, 2007 Francis O. "Coxy" Cox, 91, of Road 600E died at 9:05 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Mr. Cox was a lifelong truck driver. He had been employed by Stadler Packing Co., retired from Courier-Newsom Trucking, and then continued driving, assisting local farmers for many years. He also rode horses for many years and was an avid reader. He belonged to Shiloh Baptist Church where he was a proud founding member of the "Dunkin' Club" and served as a trustee. He was a Navy veteran and felt it was important to volunteer during World War II. Born in Seymour June 28, 1915, Mr. Cox was the son of Orville and Marguritte Sweany Cox. He married Florene Faye O'Neal June 11, 1936. Survivors include his wife; sons, Larry O. Cox of Columbus and John Robertson of Hope; daughters, Shirley Robertson of Hope and Terrie Cox of Columbus; grandchildren, Skip (Cathy) Robertson, Steve (Lori) Robertson, Patrick (Michelle) Cox, John C. Cox and Carrie (Chris) Thompson; great-grandchildren, Megan (Troy) Ripley, Matthew, Stephanie and Bradley Robertson, Jordan Cox and Delaney and Luke Thompson; a great-great-grandchild, Kadence Pedigo; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Raymond R., Glenn and James Cox; and a sister, Fern Barnes. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Friday; January 19, 2007 will be conducted at 1 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. James Seddon Rev. Steven Pumphrey & Rev. Robert Lay officiating. VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2007 at Jewell-Rittman Family Home and from noon until service time Friday at the church. BURIAL: Bear Creek Cemetery.
