Thelma T. Foist January 04, 1909 - November 06, 2006 Thelma T. Foist, 97, of Flintwood Drive died at 12:20 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Mrs. Foist lived in Brown County, where she was born, until she was 18, then moved to Indianapolis where she and her husband raised their children. She moved to Columbus in 1996 after living in Indianapolis for 52 years. She was of the Methodist faith. Born Jan. 4, 1909, Mrs. Foist was the daughter of John M. and Sarah Phegley Dobbs. She married Marion N. Foist April 15, 1933. Survivors include a daughter, Janet Sue (Dick) Abell of Columbus; a son, Duane Foist of Franklin; grandchildren, Teresa Sue Harris of Appleton, Wis., and Rachelle Lea Andersen of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and great-grandchildren, Lauren, Nathan, Andrew and Samantha "Sami" Harris, Ashley, Corbin, Carson and Taylor Andersen. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sarah Dobbs; her husband, in 1968; an infant daughter, Delores Jean Foist; sisters, Della Dobbs and Merle Nelson; and brothers, Virgil and Paul Dobbs. Funeral Information VISITATION: Calling will be Wednesday, November 8,2006 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and from 10 A.M. until service time on Thursday. FUNERAL: Thursday November 9, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Harris officiating. BURIAL: Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana.
