Born April 7, 1985 in Franklin, April was the daughter of Mark A. Whitehead and Melissa Denise Brown, both of Elizabethtown. Other survivors include a daughter, Destiny Nicole Sweet; a sister, Candice Whitehead of Elizabethtown; and a grandfather, Clyde W. Whitehead Sr. of North Vernon. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Sharon Whitehead and Johnny and Annie Brown.
