William E. Wagner January 20, 1923 - September 24, 2006 In loving memory of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather, William E. Wagner, who entered this life Jan. 20, 1923, and departed into the arms of our Lord at 5:15 p.m. on Sept. 24, 2006, at 83 years of age. Mr. Wagner retired from Anderson Tool & Engineering Co. in Anderson. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at Purdue University and Golden K Kiwanis Club, High 12 Club No. 337 and St. Johns Masonic Lodge No. 20, all in Columbus. He also was a lifetime member of the NRA. A veteran, he served with the United States Marine Corps Squadron VMSB 333 during World War II. Born in Houston, Texas, Mr. Wagner was the son of Emil Wagner and Bernice C. Crippen Wagner Wiebel. He married Anna May Kovacic June 24, 1946. She preceded him in death Dec. 1, 1994. Survivors include daughters, Judith Ann Wagner of Columbus and Wilette Maasdorf of El Paso, Texas; grandchildren, Christina A. Frietze and her husband Jake Frietze; and great-grandchildren, Joseph D. and Jaelyn H. Frietze. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; his stepfather. A.R. Wiebel; and a brother, Hugh Lee Wagner. He will be sorely missed by family and friends but we know he is in a place of peace. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 29, 2006 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Steven Kaetzel officiating. VISITATION: 10 a.m. until service time Friday.
