David Earl Brown December 03, 1957 - July 11, 2006 Former Columbus Regional Hospital Employee David Earl Brown, 48, of 18th Street died at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Mr. Brown worked at Marsh Supermarket for 16 years and then was employed in the maintenance department at Columbus Regional Hospital for 10 years. He was a member of Seventh Street Church of God, an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed gardening and outdoor activities. He was a devoted son, brother and father and a good friend to many. Born in Bartholomew County Dec. 3, 1957, Mr. Brown was the son of Thurman and Lillie Brown. He married Rhonda Cockerham June 9, 1990. Survivors include his mother of Columbus, his wife; a son and daughter, Michael D. and Kristen N. Brown of Columbus; sisters, Betty (Larry) Johnson and Helen (George) Crase, both of Columbus; and nieces and nephews, Larry Garrison (Susan Wallace), Brent Garrison, Brian (Robin) Crase, Ashley (Tony) Lucas, Drake Lucas and Thomas Shepherd. He also is survived by a special dog named Katie. He was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Shepherd Neville. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Will be conducted at 1 P.M. Friday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Ballard officiating. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery. VISITATION: Will be from 2 to 8 P.M.
