Wanda J. Shumaker June 29, 1956 - May 26, 2006 Wanda J Shumaker, 49, formerly of Columbus, died at 7:50 pm, Friday, May 26, 2006, at her home. Mrs. Shumaker was the founder and president of WJS Consulting Group. She was one of the countrys leading experts in the field of insurance agency automation and workflow process, and had over 28 years of experience in the insurance industry. Her accumulated consulting expertise extended to over 500 agencies throughout the nation. Mrs. Shumaker co-authored an accounting manual for an agency automation software company, and helped develop the user-friendly guide used by many insurance agencies today. Her extensive knowledge of the software, combined with her agency background, gave her a unique insight into the complex dynamics for crafting new solutions resulting in increased efficiency, profitability and agency communication. Her personable and interactive training style kept her in constant demand as a consultant to user groups, conferences and individual agencies. Before founding WJS Consulting Group, Wanda Shumaker was the technology director for a 100-employee insurance agency in Indianapolis. Wanda was a regular featured contributing author to two insurance magazines, Rough Notes and The Automated Agency Report. Mrs. Shumaker was an avid wildlife photographer and, when time permitted, enjoyed growing various types of flowers. Born June 29, 1956, Mrs. Shumaker was the daughter of Walter and Bertha Arnholt. Survivors include her husband Randall Shumaker, mother, Bertha Arnholt, sisters, Betty Ruth Krueger of Iowa, Linda Wenthe of Fort Wayne, Esther Stoner of North Carolina, brothers, Raymond and Ron Arnholt of Columbus, and many nieces and nephews. Her father, Walter Arnholt preceded her in death. Funeral Information FUNERAL: The funeral will be at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 31, 2006, with Pastor Douglas Bauman officiating. VISITATION: 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. BURIAL:will be at the churchs cemetery.
