Helen Jean Dixon April 10, 1929 - May 05, 2006 Helen Jean Dixon, 77, of Parkland Drive died at 11:20 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2006, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Mrs. Dixon loved to play bingo, read and do crossword puzzles and was a Pacers fan. Born April 10, 1929, Mrs. Dixon was the daughter of Herman and Stella vonOhlen Smith. She is survived by sons, Wayne Denton Minor of Columbus, Robert Dean Schmidtberger of Pennsylvania and Marvin Michael Schmidtberger of Indianapolis; daughters, Maureen M. (Myron) Mays of Indianapolis, Veda Jeanie (Steve) Morrison of Alabama and Marcia Diane (Dale) Fuller of Indianapolis; a sister, Martha Jane Kimberly of Arizona; grandchildren, Lori Jean Davis, Kristi Lynn Higgins, Derek Lee May, Vanessa Dawn Melton, Brad Steven Pierson, Stephanie Lea Zellner, Miranda Kay Hamilton, Courtney Danielle Morrison, Ryan Patrick Michelle Maureen Minor, Sarah, Robbie, Saundra and Christina Schmidtberger and Marvin Michael Schmidtberger Jr.; and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral Information The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday May 8, 2006 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, with Derek May officiating. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Donations Information Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
