Maria C. Michalka February 27, 1909 - July 30, 2005 Maria Michalka, 96 years, of Bruehl, Germany died on July 30th, 2005 in Pro Seniore Residenz in Bruehl. She was a retired pharmacist and previous owner of the Althrhein Apotheke in Mannheim Luzenberg, which she founded in 1962. She enjoyed traveling and classical music. Born February 27th, 1909, Mrs Michalka was the daughter of August and Franziska Langen Listeck in Muenster, Germany. She married Egon Kratt who died and later married Adolf Michalka in 1969. Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Butler of Grayslake, IL, one son Uwe Kratt of Ketsch, Germany, 2 grandchildren Gina and Eric and 2 great-grandchildren, Evan and Ricky. Her husbands, parents and 2 sisters Ruth and Eugenie (Jenny) preceded her in death. Funeral Information MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday, September 17th, 2005 at 10 AM at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, 3855 25th Street, Columbus, IN. VISITATION: Calling will be from 9 AM until service time. The Rev. Dr Ronald Rhodus will officiate the service.
