Lillie Elaine Dungan Sorber, 86, of Columbus, passed away at 12:10 a.m., August 3, 2019 at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin. Lillie was born February 2, 1933 in Connersville, the daughter of Herbert and Helen Henry Dungan. She married Creed Davis, who preceded her in death. She then married Wilson Sorber. Lillie retired from Cummin’s Engine Company, and enjoyed camping and dancing. The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday August 7, 2019 at Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Kendall Wildey officiating. Calling will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or the donor’s choice of charities. Survivors include sons, Mark (Beverly) Davis of New Albany, formerly of North Vernon, Mike (Diane) Davis of Mooresville, and Gary (Lana) Davis of Reddington; a daughter, Judy (Tony) Frost of Franklin; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, David Lee (Linda) Dungan of Connorsville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Creed Davis, her second husband, Wilson Sorber; a son, Robert Lee Davis; as well as brothers, Russell Dungan and Donald “Dixie” Dungan.

    • So sorry to hear about Elaine she was an awesome neighbor I will never forget her and Steve as long as I live I know I didn’t get to visit her too many times while she was in the nursing home but I really missed her sitting outside with her every night and just reminiscing about the good times Elaine I know you suffered a lot with your back pain and different things and I know that God has taken a hand in this and he’s taking away all your suffering I will always love you and always remember you and Steve rest in peace I never knew you when you were younger and your video was very awesome I only knew you as a neighbor when you were with Steve so you were always a blessing and you always helped him and he helped you I will never forget you
