Jeffrey A. Springhorn, 45, of Columbus, passed away at September 11, 2019, in Brooklyn, Indiana. Jeff was born October 3, 1973 in Columbus, the son of Charles H. and Joyce D. Moore Springhorn. He married Kathy Loyd on July 30, 1994. Jeff was a 1992 graduate of Columbus North High School. He worked construction, and was currently employed with Alt & Witzig Engineering. Jeff loved anything sports related, and enjoyed coaching little league baseball and elementary basketball. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Healing Waters Ministries Church (2330 Midway St., Columbus) with Pastor Tony Garris officating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Bartholomew County. Memorials may be made to Together We Live 2.0 thru St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Survivors include his parents; children Zachary and Jarrett Springhorn both of Columbus; a brother Charles E. Springhorn of Columbus; a sister Becky D. (Steve) VanHoosier of Columbus; as well as nephews Dawson Combest and Brandon Stewart.

  1. I’m so sorry to hear of your loss of Jeff. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Jeff, Chuck and Becky grew up around the corner from me in Ogilville. There was never a dull moment. I used to see Jeff out and about and he always had a smile to share. May God give you all strength and comfort during these very difficult days ahead. God Bless so sorry, Melissa Hendershot.

    • I was very hurt when I heard about Jeff’s passing. He helped me love the game of baseball so much more when he coached me in the little league at ceraland. I am praying for all of you during this time.
