Ruth Dobbs

Ruth Dobbs, 74, of Columbus, died at 1:56 am, December 5, 2019, at St. Francis Hospital in Greenwood, Indiana. Ruth was born April 18, 1945 in Seco, Kentucky the daughter of Arlie and Eva (Amburgey) Sexton. She married Billy Ray Dobbs on September 13, 1966. Ruth enjoyed making flower arrangements. She was a wonderful cook and spent endless hours in the kitchen cooking for her family. She loved watching and feeding the hummingbirds that frequented her home. Ruth had several fur grandbabies that were close to her heart, Earnhardt, Kahlua, Isabella, Rex, Ching, Chang, Boss, Bufford and Belle. Ruth was a wonderful wife and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. All services will be private. Survivors include her husband; daughters, Penelope (Jeffrey) Galarno of Columbus, Jeanette (Michael) Buzzard of Grammar; sister, Faye (Russell) Collins of Whitesburg, KY She was preceded in death by brothers Coy and Lloyd Sexton and sisters, Sophia Fields and Maureen Amburgey; a granddaughter, Eva Patience Buzzard. Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
