Arleitta Ford

Arleitta Ford, 86, of Columbus, passed away at December 25, 2019 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Arleitta was born October 18, 1933 in Jefferson County, Indiana, the daughter of John R. and Anna Mable Liter Tingle. She married John Junior Ford in 1955, and on September 3rd of this year, they celebrated 64 years together. She was employed at Arvin Industries in the 1950’s, and later worked at J.C. Penny’s. She is survived by her husband; a daughter Dana (Craig) Fields of Hope; grandchildren Angela (Brandon) Nielsen and Andrea (John) Yorty; 8 great-grandchildren; as well as siblings Larry (Connie) Tingle of Columbus and Betty Messer of Madison. She was preceded in death by her parents; as well as a brother William Tingle. The funeral will be at noon, Saturday December 28, 2019 at Memorial Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Memorial Baptist Church. Arleitta will be greatly missed by friends and family.
