Lloyd “Steve” Michaels, 74, of Columbus, passed away January 4, 2020, at his home.
Steve was born September 13, 1945 in Columbus, the son of Elza and Cora Hendershot Michaels. He married Susan Baynes on October 24, 1998.
Steve is survived by his wife Susan; daughters Kelly (Chris) Harris of Mooresville and Faith Hundley of Edinburgh; stepchildren Michael Brown of Columbus, Tony Sherman of Bradenton, Florida, and Jessica Baynes of Columbus; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brothers Kenny (Doris) Michaels of Brown County and Danny (Beth) Michaels of Flat Rock; as well as a sister Darlene Roberts of Brown County.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Steve enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with his family. He was known for his sense of humor and kind heart. Steve was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
The funeral will be at 6:00 p.m. Friday January 10, 2020 at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Andrews officiating. Calling will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of services Friday.
