Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. She introduced my son C.J. to alot of his first, like his 1st icecream cone. U couldn’t get him away from ice cream from that day.

  2. Darlene was like a big sister to me when I was young. We used to watch Granny and Henry play cards on Dawson Street. I remember eating a lot of tomato and bean soup spending time at Granny Mullis’ house with Darlene. We talked a lot about nothing, but then, that’s what girls did back then. What we wanted to do and what we wanted to be. I remember when she got that tatoo on her ankle of a boy she really liked. I thought she was worldly then. lol—-I have not seen her for years, but make no mistake about it, She was an influence. I love you Darlene, And I’ll miss you. See you later on, I hope. xoxo

  3. Darlene was like a Grandma to me. I loved her so much! ♥️ She will be missed. But she not hurting anymore.

  4. Aunt Darlene was the one I always waited for when she got off the bus in high school. She and I are only 3 years apart in age. She would always bring the round bubble gum home and share it with us at granny’s. I remember her always being funny and pretty.

  5. I’m posting this for my mom, Doris Hallberg because her eyesight is not good. Darlene is my sister I was saddened to hear the news of her passing and at this time I keep the memories of her and I close to my heart. I remember one day she came to see me and had bought me a coffee and two peanut butter cookies. It made my day. I will hold on to the memories.

My mom doesn’t drive anymore and I was hoping someone could send her one of the pamphlets from the funeral service. That would mean so much to her.

  6. No matter what I did or done or what people said or thought about me she didnt care one bit and through all this I knew she loved me and she knew I loved her and that’s all that matter to us I love u soooooooo much mom I’m glad your in a better place now I’m gonna miss u
