Kim Alan Ross, 56, of Columbus, died on March 19, 2020, at his home. Kim was born June 21, 1963, in Columbus. He enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, rock collecting and anything outdoors. He was always there to help others when they were in need. Visitation and funeral services will be private at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made by check to the American Cancer Society in memory of Kim through the funeral home: Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, 3855 25th Street, Columbus, IN, 47203. Survivors include his mother, Elaine Ruth Lacey Kelley and father, Robert L. Kelley Jr., of Columbus; sons, Robert (Breanna) Ross of Brown County and Tyler (Amanda) Ross of Bloomington and a daughter, Lacey (Dexton Brock) Ross of Brown County; brother, Chris (Regina) Ross of Elizabethtown and sisters, Angela (Cindy Harris) Ross of Greenwood and Cindy (Brad) Hawkins of Columbus; Aunt, Rose Ann (John) Dunlap of Columbus; nephew, Patrick (Jamie) Frensemeier and nieces, Amanda Frensemeier, Christal (William Chalfant) Ross and Taylor (Blake MacKensen) Ross; great-nephew, Anthony Cameron and several aunts, uncles and cousins from the Kelley family. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jessie Lacey and cousins, Wes Kelley and Jason Day.   3. My heart is heavy has I seen and read this obituary. Kim was a part of my family. I am so sorry to all of his family. My nephew Tyler was one of his sons. I am so sorry. You will always be in our hearts. You will be missed by so many. Rest In Peace. God bless. Love you

  4. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of Kim’s family and friends during this devastating loss. He was so much to so many people and he will be greatly missed by many. I just got to know Kim, over the last year,through my boyfriend Jessie. We saw him almost every day. Especially Jessie. Kim was his first call in the morning and ride home in the evening. He was a good friend to Jessie and He has always been nice to me. I will always remember the good times and funny things he said and think of him with a smile on his face. In a better place with no worries.
