Geraldine “Gerri” East, 76, passed away at 2:03 p.m. Monday April 6, 2020 in Columbus Regional Hospital. Gerri was born November 28, 1943 in Hazard, Kentucky and was a previous resident of Charlestown, Indiana and recently moved to Columbus.
Gerri was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Larry East, whom she married on May 7, 1977. Gerri leaves behind four sons, Gordon Parker of Austin, Indiana, John Parker of Seymour, Indiana, Greg (Jennifer) Parker of Whiteland, Indiana and Chris Parker of Columbus; two daughters, Bobbie (Rick) Mullins of Austin, Indiana and Tonya (Chris) Kiel of Columbus; nineteen grandchildren, Byron Parker, Brittney Parker, Hali Parker, Alexa Parker, Gavin Parker, Ashley (Jason) Mathis, Christy (Curtis) Sanders, Bobbie Parker, Jourden Parker, Tyler Parker, Jonathan (Stephanie) Parker, Jacob Parker, Felicia (Robert) Wesley, Richard Mullins, Jeffrey Helton, Jordon Helton, Emma Geiker, Matthew Geiker and Shelby Geiker and also several great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.
Gerri was preceded in death by her parents, Farmer White and Emily Collins Allen and a daughter Billie Davidson. Memorial contributions are encouraged to be made to the Columbus Regional Hospital Employee Assistance Fund to help those affected with the Covid 19 virus in memory of Gerri.
Private family funeral services have been scheduled with Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Following the service, Gerri will be laid to rest in Garland Brook Mausoleum.
