  1. My Tribute to Tabitha “Tabby” Hardy:

This past weekend I lost my best friend. I will never forget the many early morning, mid afternoon, or late night chats. I awoke on Palm Sunday to a message you had suddenly passed away! I immediately got up and came over to your apartment to see if this was true. Your mom and I had a good cry together because you weren’t there.

There were days that I was feeling down and I answered the phone and you were on the other end only call me by my nickname you assigned me which I hated but never had the nerve to tell you! Other days you called me just to annoy me which you were a professional at. You ALWAYS made me laugh or smile, sometimes at yours, mine, Kevin’s, your moms, or another family members expense!

You had a very long and difficult journey in life and now you are at peace. I remember you telling me you’d never go back to church or at sometimes questioned if you believed in God. I always wanted to talk about religion but NEVER wanted to offend you.

The last memory that I have (which is the best one) is when you called me stating “I’m in the CRH Stress Center and I have news for you!” I thought this was odd but was ready for anything you might say. Your words were: “Chris I’ve been reading the Bible and just read the book of Revelations. I believe we are living in the end times!” I admit I was shocked to hear you say you had took interest and your eyes had been opened. I advised you to read Matthew 24. I know you believed in God and made everything right and Sunday morning God may have took you, but Heaven gained another angel! I wish you would’ve been here to attend church as you said you would do when the church reopens. You promised me you would and I believed you.

Please keep an eye on everyone including myself and your family. I love you with all my heart and I will cherish your memory forever and I will meet you again very soon. In your words “I’ve got this and I’ll take it from here!”

    Till we meet again,
    Your Best Friend Chris Rutan
