Glen West, Jr., 40, of Columbus, passed away June 4, 2020. He was born March 24, 1980, in Columbus, the son of Judith McDougal West and Glen West Sr. A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral home with Rev. Dr. Jeremy S. Myers officiating. Memorial visitation will be from noon until the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Flatrock Baptist Cemetery. Memorial gifts have been suggest to ANY substance abuse program of the donor’s choice. Survivors include his mother Judith West of Columbus; his father Glen West of Las Vegas, NV; daughters Ali Weddel of Shelbyville, Elizabeth “Ellie” Lewis, and Emma West; sons Weston Root and Nolan Carter; grandson Hagan Sims; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.






Glen could walk in to any situation and make it laughable. He wanted so badly to be better. A better Dad, a better Son, a better Glen. Praying for you All Always. The last 3 days havent been the same without random videos and messages from him. 💔💔💔💔
You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten. You always made me and everyone else around you smile. I’m going to miss you so much. Sending prayers and love to everyone affected by you not being here.
There are at least 20 years of memories that mark and I have with you Glen… some memories just mark has, some memories are mine, and some we have together with you. We love love love you!! Thank you for friendship, loyalty, and laughs. Thank you for fighting your battle out loud so our town will know the struggle is real and not worth it. The one thing I never said to you in person is THANK YOU FOR STAYING WITH MARKIE WHEN HE FELL OFF THE FIRE TOWER!!!! You are my hero for that and there is no doubt in my mind because of you he is still here with me💔💔💔❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Glen was a special soul that will be sorely missed. My heart aches for his mother Judy who he knew loved him deeply and loved her the same. Also for his babies im so sorry for such a huge loss in ur precious lives. Your father was the laughter in alot of lives and had an infections smile, laugh & personality. He will forever be remembered & missed
