James E. Miller

James E. Miller, 70, of Columbus, died at 8:04 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2020, at Heritage House of Greensburg. James was born May 30, 1950 in Joliet, Illinois, the son of James H. and Mary (Blink) Miller. James was a retired truck driver. He was an avid sports fan, especially NASCAR and Football. He enjoyed training horses and going to church. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Kennedy officiating. Military Rites will be performed by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Survivors include sons: Timothy Panos of Columbus and Michael (Christian) Rupp of Texas; daughters: Diane (Trever) Miller of Westport and Regina (William) Allman of Columbus; brothers: David Miller, Wayne Miller and Mark Miller all of Illinois; sisters: Linda Miller, Ruth (Don) Widner and Nancy (Daune) Cobb all of Illinois; 8 grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild.
