One of my many memories, sharing many, many Saturday night meals at Grandma Woods. The favorite was chit chat in doorway by Grandma’s stove, watching Verlis stirring gravy, in a a cherished cast iron skillet. Wow, like many things, Verlis had a way of making things special. Mischevious at times but so gracious in everything she did.
