Marie Estella Caudell

Marie Estella Caudell, 93, of Columbus, died at 6:19 a.m. August 18, 2020, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Marie was born September 24, 1926, in Asan, Guam, the daughter of Ignatio T. Paloma and Magdalena Salas Taijito. She married Robert Gene Caudell and he preceded her in death March 22, 2011.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Marie had been employed as a registered nurse at Columbus Regional Hospital.
A private service will be held for the family on Saturday. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in memory of Marie.
Survivors include her children, Jeani Filip, Christine Taijito Caudell and Robert G. (Maria A.) Caudell Jr.; and grandchildren, Lara Filip, Ryan Caudell, Nicole Sagstetter, Lisa Fletcher, Joseph Caudell, and Benjamin Caudell; great-grandchildren, Angel Salazar, Gabriel Salazar, Alyssa Salazar, Ava Salazar, Isabel Caudell, Mckayla Fletcher, Zoe Fletcher, Nyra Caudell, Malaina Caudell, Abby Vorhees and Ava Vorhees.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Robert.

Basket Full of Wishes was purchased for the family of Marie Estella Caudell.
Marie was a caring, friendly woman, a pleasure to work with at Bartholomew County Hospital in the 70’s . She and Bob were wonderful folks. It’s interesting to learn that she was born in Gwam.
