Larry Dean Turner, 72, of Columbus, died at his home. Larry was born August 21, 1948, in Columbus, the son of Mennen J. Turner and Mary Dowden Turner. Larry retired from Cummins Engine Company after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Moose and Eagles Lodge. He loved playing golf and spending time with his family and friends. Calling hours will be 2:00-4:00 PM, Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Private inurnment will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery at a later date. Survivors include a son, Brian (Sarah) Turner of Columbus; daughters, Angela R. (Daniel) Sutton and Pamela F. (Graham) Hales both of Columbus; grandchildren, Melany Alvey, Elizabeth Hales, Carolina Hales, and Charlie Turner. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.   3. He will always be my older brother instead of my favorite cousin. He always reminded me he was three weeks older, and I could never lie about my age, he had a very funny humor that always made me giggle. We were in the same class for 12 years in school. I will miss you my cousin, buddy, friend, classmate, and best brother. Love and miss you already!
